Tour de Graham Road, and Tons-o-parties

Logan's class had "bicycle/tricycle/scooter" day on Thursday, aka, 'Tour de Graham Road' (school is on a street named Graham Road, coincedental). Which really means, they closed off the parking lot and all the 3yr old kids raced around like banshees with helmets. Gatorade afterwards. I was surprised at the number of scooters. Logan is a champ at the scooter, anyway. Too good- I want him to work on tricycle skills. I lost the battle Thurs. morning about which vehicle he'd take to school. I'm going to have to hide the scooter for a few weeks while we work on the tricycle, or get Austin to do the tricycle more and let Logan be jealous. Lucily, the tricycle has a strap to keep Austin attached.

Friday night we had over for dinner Chris' cousins who live in Kennesaw GA [in town passing through for summer vaca and local DC events], parents and aunt/uncle. Got a 5' eye-talian sub (not as good as a hoagie, but ok) and other low- maintenance picnic fare. Lots of Nintendo Wii and PS2 were played (for the teenagers, who are nice fun teens, but a moonbounce, coloring/playdoh and Diego & Thomas toys were rightfully, not going to cut it).

Onto today- to the gym for a good workout, boys hung out at home, some chores, then into DC for Luke's #1 bday party. Proud of ourselves- not the first to show up (we normally are, we both roll on gringo time, everyone else on Latin time) and we stayed over an hour beyond "designated" end of party. Not that it was really dying down, though. Logan fell asleep on the way home, and we just transferred him to bed, he was exhausted. Haven't heard from him since.

Tomorrow, another bday party with Graham side down in Quantico. Tomorrow night we'll be exhausted and partied out. Week ahead is a very busy one. Next weekend, more parties. July is a fun month.
