..ok, we're back from beach vacation and have about a month ahead of us for "need-to-travel" summer activities starting back up again in late Aug. We are very excited for the thought of this little lull.
Work is going well for both of us (we do have to find some way to fund our adventures) but unfortunately, each day goes by quicker than the previous one, yes even those days there at work. WOW, Logan is now 7 months. He continues to enjoy his daycare and the ladies/kids there, still not a great day-time sleeper (at least not on the schedule where we'd all like him to be) and is a fine night sleeper- dare I put that in print & it now changes on me. We've had to try the "cry it out" pre-sleep routine only a few times and it is a killer for us all. Lucikly, it isn't frequently that we need to exercise this.
Other developments:
- He is now ready to move out of the infant car seat ("bucket") in Mom's car and into the next level. He has a couple more pounds in Dad's car to go for that seat model.
- He is sitting about 95% without support with the occassional wobble and plunk! on the floor, so our sofa pillows are getting good usage all around the floor.
- He reaches for toys when sitting and ends up on his belly, a very little bit of scooting thrown in (primarily backwards). It is amazing he can get over his chunky legs. We have the baby-proofing products and strategy ready to be installed/implemented when it appears that we can't avoid it a moment longer.
- He has a great laugh/giggle, he's ticklish on his feet, has 2 bottom teeth (as of mid-June for that second one) and is eating it all-fruits, veggies, & infant cereal. The meats will come when we have the pantry storage space for more jars & containers in upcoming weeks. Maybe I'll even make some of his food myself with the Cuisinart. Hm, maybe. I'll have to sacrifice *some* of the adult meals I make for Chris and I. Haha.
- He' in the stage now of some stranger and/or separation anxiety- comes with it alot of holding and cuddling which we don't mind at all. Unfortunately, not as enjoyed is the "Please don't do anything else at home or be in another room- I will truly flip out" phase. Our big basket of toys in the living room, the Exercauser and misc. standing and rolling toys are all getting good workouts; he loves to jump in whatever apparatus lets him do that. This should help with toning up those thighs a bit.
- He is in the middle of his first baby swim class at the local recreation center that we do together. The splashing, floating and drinking-pool-water skills learned on vacation are transferrable to this current experience.
Well, other posts soon to come, with less text and more pictures to resume. Have a good weekend, all.

Loved the text! we need to know everything about his life (and yours 0f course).. Doc Phil had a segment where you sit at the crib(do not pick up) and each night move closer to the door and into hallway until baby gets acclimated to going to bed without crying.give him a hug from me!
