Winter, Winter... Go away

and don't come back for 9 more months!

Though, truly- the only complaint I have this year is that it was so bitterly cold, for so many weeks/months in a row with little relief. So glad we didn't have a great deal of snow and ice- really just 2 true significant events that closed schools for a day each. I dreaded this winter, returning to work, carting 2 kids to 2 different daycares. But I think we're safe to say [with passage of each day closer to SPRING] that there is light at the end of the tunnel. Days get longer and warmer and soon we'll be in windbreakers only.

Highlights of this winter (beyond survival, while we got used to new routines): 2 visits from GA grands, visits from Cousin Angela (w/BF Sean) and Uncle Al, birth of baby Graham (is his first name), my attendance at a FUN Moms' Night Out in Center City Philly- with accompanying 24 hour getaway and train trip north, Logan's Sunday AM tumbling classes, Inauguration hoopla & February birthday parties of good friends.

Now we look forward to March and April bdays, Easter, Austin's Baptism, and hopefully, our long-awaited backyard makeover.
